Giga Energy manufactures and operates energy infrastructure. We are an international company with headquarters in Houston & Shanghai offering comprehensive product lines including electrical equipment, modular data centers, and power generation assets. In addition to our product lines, Giga operates off-grid and on-grid data centers in North and South America.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Product Manager to join our Shanghai team and lead our transformer medium and high voltage division. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from production to delivery, overseeing Quality Control, Project Coordinators, and Technical Sales Engineers. You’ll ensure products meet quality standards, stay on schedule, and manage change requests effectively. You possess an exceptional sense of ownership over your work and the drive to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Commercial Support
●Implement best practices in product development, product improvement and operational excellence, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders and updating production requirements as needed.
●Collaborate with Technical Sales Engineers in Shanghai and US sales team to evaluate and respond effectively to RFQs, ensuring all commercial requests align with Giga’s product standards, timelines and business objectives.
●Cooperate with supplier teams, evaluating and optimizing factory capabilities, engineering capabilities, and manufacturing quality, while developing new products quickly and effectively.
●Manage all product feedback from the US side to continually improve internal process and product quality.
Operations Management
●Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure each order is fulfilled on schedule and at our standards, including managing administrative tasks (e.g., entities, tax, HR, compliance, financials).
●Streamline operational processes to optimize resource utilization and enhance productivity, both with internal and external stakeholders, as well as vendors (e.g., communication across different internal teams, vendor management, negotiation with suppliers).
●Oversee QC processes to ensure all transformers meet Giga's standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus). Experience: 4+ years of experience, ideally in product management within transformer manufacturing, or similar energy industries.
Availability: Willingness to be on-call outside regular work hours and to travel as needed.
