MojiaBio is seeking highly motivated scientists with a background in Protein and Enzyme Engineering at our R&D headquarters located in Shanghai. The ideal candidates will play key roles in the use of state-of-the-art synthetic biology approaches to develop and improve our chemical manufacturing platforms. As a Team Leader in our Protein and Enzyme Engineering team, you will lead a team of scientists and researchers dedicated to optimizing proteins and enzymes for new product pipelines. Responsibilities: 80Provide strategic direction for the Protein and Enzyme Engineering team, aligning strategies with company goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value. 80Work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to actively contribute to executing the company's vision. 80Maintain a high level of scientific expertise aligned with project requirements, expand the scientific capabilities of the SynBio group, and serve as a scientific resource for MojiaBio. 80Lead and manage enzyme engineering campaigns and platform modifications, offering project-level guidance and best practices. 80Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development. 80Plan, coordinate, and execute protein and enzyme engineering projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of project objectives. 80Utilize deep understanding and state-of-the-art molecular biology, protein engineering techniques, enzyme evolution methods, and rational protein design to guide the team and address technical challenges. 80Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex challenges in protein and enzyme engineering projects. 80Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in protein and enzyme engineering, applying emerging technologies to enhance strategies and project outcomes. 80Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental data and results. 80Participate with IP team to protect, enrich and increase value of the company's technology IP portfolio. 80Ensure that all research activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
Qualifications 80Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields with a minimum of 6 years of experience working in protein/enzyme engineering in industrial settings or similar environment. MSc with significant relevant experience will be considered. 80Demonstrated success in leading or managing projects in protein/enzyme engineering with a team of 5 or more members is essential. 80Extensive experience in advanced molecular biology for protein and enzyme engineering such as directed evolution and large-scale variant library construction, adept at leveraging cutting-edge methods such as in-silico design, machine learning, high-throughput screening, and enzyme characterization. 80Strong scientific and analytical skills are necessary. Candidates should have the ability to efficiently multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and bring projects to successful conclusions. 80Proven leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and inspire high-performing teams, are essential. 80Effective organizational skills, including setting, prioritizing, and achieving research goals, are a key requirement. 80Solid strategic thinking is necessary for developing and articulating program strategy, risk mitigation plans, and milestones. 80Capable of adapting and working well in a collaborative, fast-paced work setting, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture. 80Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.
