KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop opportunity and manage customer relationship 2. Manage existing accounts and develop new accounts, in line with sales strategy to grow target segments and improve profitability 3. Maintain interface at multiple levels and develop close working relationship with customers 4. Work with Technology and Marketing to identify and develop value-added solutions for customers 5. Develop sales pipeline opportunities especially duplication of validated application and work with supporting functions to drive for commercialization 6. Timely follow-up on customer feedback until resolution of claims and complaints 7. Generate sales orders with margin optimization 8. Identify and capture value unique to each customer and sales transaction 9. Negotiate sales terms with customers within set guidelines 10. Setup and maintain appropriate credit terms with customers; monitor and minimize credit blocks 11. Monitor and follow up on agreements especially on meeting the volume commitment 12. Work closely with customers and appropriate functions to reduce cost and optimize margin 13. Manage sales territory and account plans 14. Develop account plan to achieve revenue, profit and volume objectives 15. Provide stewardship of business objectives for assigned accounts, align with team goals and priorities 16. Collect, analyze, and share market intelligence and emerging trends with team members
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 1. 3~5 years of market facing experience (commercial or technical) in chemical industry 2. A minimum of Bachelor’s degree; major in Chemical engineering, chemistry, material science or related field preferred 3. Prior working experience with global corporations and/or polymers applications is a plus 4. Strong interpersonal skills and great teamwork capabilities; able to influence and lead in a matrix organization 5. Able to communicate effectively in written English and can manage conversational English at workplace 6. Available to frequent travel domestically
