Purpose and objectives of the job: As a Junior Merchandising Manager at Birkenstock China, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Merchandising Manager in executing strategic initiatives and operational tasks. You will drive the planning, buying, allocation, and management of the product assortment, ensuring alignment with consumer expectations while achieving sales and profit targets in the local market. Tasks and accountabilities: Strategy Support 61 Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies for omni-channel, from concept to implementation. 61 Support the Go-to-Market Calendar and business cycle management. 61 Contribute to market insights and trend analysis to shape merchandising direction. Merchandising Planning and Allocation 61 Participate in seasonal product planning and model management based on consumer insights and market trends. 61 Monitor product lifecycle and support forecasting, buying and channel segmentation plan. 61 Develop product training materials for internal and external teams on regular cadence to enhance understanding of brand core value and product priorities. 61 Manage inventory allocation processes and in-season adjustments to ensure optimal stock levels. 61 Support on regional Handoff meetings (2x/year) to deliver seasonal product strategy. Data and Analytics 61 Analyze sell-in and sell-out performance to optimize pricing, margins, and product efficiency. 61 Monitor inventory health, including stock aging, seasonal performance, and size availability. 61 Provide actionable insights into SKU efficiency, channel segmentation, and door/location performance. 61 Automate merchandising reports for improved accuracy and timeliness of management insights Collaboration and Communication 61 Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Analytics, Ecommerce and Logistic,etc.) and HQ departments (Product and Merchandising) to ensure seamless operations. 61 Regularly communicate with the global merchandising team on seasonal product feedback and local market needs. 61 Co-work with logistic team and CS team to track order fulfillment and delivery status. 61 Collaborate closely with the Retail Operations team and provide proactive support to enhance the in-store experience from a product perspective Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree or above in business or related field 61 Minimum of 5 years’ Merchandising related experience, including assortment, buying, planning and allocation etc. 61 Communicate effectively in both written Chinese and English 61 Familiar with MS office products, and other web cloud base applications. 61 Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape. 61 Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, 61 Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused. 61 Passionate about fashion and footwear with a strong sense of reliability and initiative
