We are looking for a strong Assistant Marketing Manager that is passionate about the pet food industry and building premium brands through best-in-class marketing and advertising. This role will primarily support the Blue Buffalo business in China, as well as other key markets of South Korea, Hong Kong and ***. This position will work and report up through the global marketing team (based in the U.S.) as well as support local market team in China and other Asian markets, getting a unique hybrid experience. In this role, you will get to lead creative development and partner closely with our creative agency to produce remarkable, consistent, and distinct marketing assets that will guide our market activation plans. You will be responsible for drafting and adapting our global creative and customizing it for each local market, ensuring brand consistency, consumer relevancy and cultural trends. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 61 Lead creative brief and core asset development for Blue Buffalo’s masterbrand and new product launches, ensuring adaptations for key markets (China, ***, Hong Kong, South Korea) 61 Partner with Brand Management, Brand Marketing, Consumer Insights and Brand Experience experts over multiple time zones 61 Oversee and manage daily planning needs with creative agency in Shanghai 61 Be an expert of brand guidelines and help evaluate creative assets against internal requirements and external standards to ensure it meets quality and brand guidelines 61 Advise and provide executional support on marketing plans and creative asset deployment in key markets of South Korea, Hong Kong, *** 61 Design and develop a portfolio messaging strategy guided by moments of receptivity 61 Manage creative toolkit, internal content storage, file sharing and creative updates system 61 Manage advertising and promotion budgets through PO creation, vendor management and internal processes REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 61 Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Advertising 61 3-5 years of marketing experience in Pet Food, client, distributor or agency side 61 Strong creative thinking and good communication skills 61 Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables 61 Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of budget management/tracking 61 Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy 61 Ability to partner and collaborate across matrixed internal teams and agency partners 61 Functional knowledge and expertise in creative and content creation 61 Fluency in English and Mandrin (you will communicate daily with team at headquarters in U.S. and local team in China) 61 Ability to take early morning or late night calls local time with US (and flex schedule accordingly) 61 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 61 Entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys challenges 61 Highly resourceful, self-motivated, creative problem-solver 61 Flexible, curious thinker 61 Proficiency in additional languages (i.e. Korean) is a bonus 61 Design experience (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) 61 Pet lover/enthusiast
