Your Impact As the Tax Manager in charge of APAC region, you will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, audit and tax provision work in APAC regions with key and deliverables to: - Ensure timely compliance reporting; promptly manage tax audit and advise the business where necessary. -You will serve as an internal expert to deal directly with customers and tax authorities on tax related matters. Here’s where you’ll focus your efforts to have a direct and meaningful impact on our business results: Specialized in APAC indirect and direct tax systems. Primarily ensure the timely preparation and filing of tax returns. Reviewing APAC tax accounting including but not limited to quarterly EBT review, soft and hard close. Review APAC region tax accounting working paper based on materiality. Working with local consultants to ensure timely filing of APAC tax returns and accuracy of the returns. Monitoring transfer pricing adjustment in APAC. Working with US TP team and VAT team to implement global principle model for ASP in APAC. Developing, evaluating, supporting, and documenting all intercompany pricing between subsidiaries. Dealing directly with all auditors and responding to tax issues raised by tax auditors. Managing outside tax consultants and advisors. Taking required actions to continuously improve, deploying Fortive Business System (FBS) tools appropriately. Provide advisory/planning opportunities where necessary to the business. Assist the local CFO and/or global tax lead with other projects. Our Needs Here’s what we’ll need you to bring to the organization: 7+ years of progressive work experience in a similar industry’s corporate tax department and/or a public accounting firm, with a strong knowledge of tax planning, tax compliance, and tax return preparation for APAC entities; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required. Master’s degree in Tax Accounting or Tax Law preferred; Fluency in English is a requirement. Any other language is a huge plus; Experience in all aspects of tax (e.g., VAT/consumption tax, income tax, controversy, tax accounting); Strong knowledge of taxation in both direct and Indirect tax, preferably APAC. Knowledge in other regions is a plus; Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and tax accounting of multiple APAC jurisdictions. Strong communication (incl. verbal), presentation skills and problem-solving skills; Strongly skilled in ERP (SAP S4HANA) system and proficient in Microsoft Excel; Strong Tax engine (Thomson Reuters) experience; Global mindset with experience in working with different cultures;
