What you will do 61 Lead functionally Indirect buyers to deliver results on key financial metrics – Yearly cost savings and trade working capital improvement, in Logistics for Japan, SEA, China, Europe and NA 61 Support global 12 manufacturing sites and multiple sales entities to meet their business objectives in the scope of logistics (FTL, LTL, Freight Forwarding, Warehousing) 61 Maintain reporting and analysis on market of Sea transportation, on-land transportation, and warehousing. 61 This role solid line reporting to: Indirect Category Director of JCH. How you will do it 61 Develop category strategy to manage suppliers of logistics to support S&OP practice with competitive cost and agile responsiveness. 61 Provide leadership, guidance, and support to buyers to execute Category Strategies at sites. 61 Track all global pricing and volume fluctuations in logistics. 61 Participates in JCI Global Logistics Procurement Categories strategy definition and interact with JCH GISC Logistics category leaders to optimize usage of global agreements ensuring leverage from the Global agreements to all regions. 61 Strive towards achieving world class supplier performance by driving continuous improvement initiatives and active collaboration with strategic suppliers, supplier rationalization, value engineering, knowledge-based sourcing etc. 61 Create, manage and communicate RFX documents for logistics requirements, leading the Global tender process through tender evaluation, post tender negotiation, Supplier Adds, contracting, purchase order and delivery. 61 Maintain a global supplier contact database for all Global Logistics Procurement. What you will need Required 61 Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma preferably in Supply Chain Management. MBA would be preferred 61 Min. 7-8 years in Large Manufacturing or Multi-industry global organization 61 Min. 5+ years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing role, supporting multiple Plants & Regions in the scope of Logistics 61 Capability to interface with Senior Leadership across Regions both internally & externally 61 In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practice (E-auction, E-RFX, BI Tools etc.)_ 61 Strong MS Office skills– focus on Excel proficiency. 61 Strong costing & analytical skills 61 Working knowledge of SAP or other equivalent ERP systems 61 Travel 20% (Global and Domestic) 61 Ability to analyze and learn cost structure models for different logistics modes in different regions. 61 Strong procurement fundamentals, such as: RFx process, cost modeling, contract negotiation, principles of category management, forecasting, negotiations, among others. 61 Capability to synthesize large amounts of data, to effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including Logistics, Procurement, Finance and Pricing leaders.
