Position Summary: The Rockbund Art Museum is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and dynamic individual to serve as the Manager of Advancement. This pivotal role will oversee the museum’s development initiatives, foster meaningful relationships with donors, patrons, and partners, and implement innovative strategies to ensure the sustainability and growth of RAM’s curatorial and research programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Artistic Director and key stakeholders to achieve ambitious fundraising goals and elevate RAM’s profile on a local and global stage.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Fundraising & Development: 61 Design and execute a comprehensive development strategy to meet annual and multi-year fundraising goals. 61 Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with major donors and corporate sponsors. 61 Plan and oversee high-profile fundraising events, including RAM’s benefit auction, gala dinner, donor events and travel program. 2. Patron & Membership Engagement: 61 Expand RAM’s Patron and Membership programs, identifying opportunities to engage new audiences. 61 Work closely with the Patron Council, Global Council and Young Patrons Council to build meaningful relationships and foster long-term support. 3. Strategic Partnerships: 61 Identify and develop strategic collaborations with cultural institutions, private sector partners, and philanthropists in Asia and internationally. 4. Team Collaboration: 61 Collaborate with curatorial, communications, and operations teams to align advancement activities with RAM’s mission and programming. 61 Develop and monitor advancement budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of programs and campaigns. 5. Communications & Reporting: 61 Develop compelling fundraising materials, including sponsorship decks and impact reports. 61 Track and report on fundraising progress, donor impact, and engagement metrics to leadership and board members. 61 Ensure all donor communications are timely, professional, and aligned with RAM’s mission.
Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, business, marketing, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred. 61 At least 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or advancement in the cultural or nonprofit sector, with a proven track record of achieving ambitious goals. 61 Strong understanding of the global art ecosystem, particularly in Asia. 61 Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders. 61 Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. 61 Fluent in English and Mandarin; additional language skills are an asset. 61 Passion for contemporary art and RAM’s mission to foster innovative and dynamic cultural exchanges.
