Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: Contribute to margin maximization and SCP& CCP improvement by investigating manufacturers' Open Costing Sheets and identifying areas for further improvement; Ensure availability of costing performance results for the dedicated Product development (PD) & Sourcing unit to facilitate product value/margin/SCP discussion with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide on-demand day-to-day product costing support to the PD team and support PD & Sourcing during price negotiation with suppliers. a. Generate should be cost (SBC) of assigned product categories & validate supplier’s 07CS. b. Review Open Costing Sheets (OCS) sent by Suppliers, analyze details, and identify areas of improvement in all aspects of costing. c. Require additional information and details (eg. Patterns, mini markers, production data) from suppliers as necessary in order to validate (onsite/offsite) price reduction assumptions. d. Compare Open Costing sheets of product categories and suppliers of the same region to verify the consistency of costing details input in OCS. e. Support costing tools development and deliver training programs to PD & Sourcing, crossfunctional teams to optimize product value and align target and cost throughout the product creation process. 2. Provide technical costing expertise to engineer product to cost and enable design to profitability. a. Analyze CM, fabric consumption, Processing, trims, and accessories cost trends. b. Analyze the layout of the floor for effective utilization of men, machines and materials. c. Follow costing guidelines & monitor the workflow of costing implementation. d. Must be practical and implement IE concepts to improve productivity in all aspects. 3.Apply industrial costing concepts (SMV/GSD/LEAN/KAIZEN) to identify inefficiencies in the supply chain, compare data on various methods, and identify, simulate & validate cost-saving opportunities. 4. Ensure detailed Costing analysis for all big volume lines (NOS, EPP, MEPP, Door Buster) to optimize profitability every season. 5.Any other job as assigned by the Line Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of material construction, SMV/SAM. Experienced on GSD, preferable. 2.Strong understanding of cost drivers’ management, production, garment construction 3.Good understanding of E2E costing, Product development /sourcing process 4.Effective communication and negotiation skills 5.Problem-solving and critical thinking & analytical skills 6.Knowledge of material /fabric consumption calculation. Experienced on Lectra, preferable. 7.Team oriented 8.Fluent in English and Local Language 9.Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS team skills 10.Ability to work with a Product Lifecycle Management System (PLM)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 1. Degree in Industrial /Production/Manufacturing Engineering or comparable education. 2.Minimum 8 years of work experience in the garment/textile industry out of which 5 years in costing and product engineering. 3.Experienced in Woven garment product costing
