Operational Excellence Specialist Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division is now looking for an Operational Excellence Specialist. Location: Caojing site This role will: engage with the business units in measurable projects that bring real benefits to the business and bring best practices into the company. Once established, these best practices can be leveraged across multiple departments. The value creation will be measured by reduced operations costs, improving manufacturing process, reliability, efficiency, products quality and sales or service. As the Specialist, your responsibilities are: 1, Site level continuous improvement project management in terms of project pool development, regular project tracking, project gate reviews and final closing. 2, Continuous improvement training, such as Lean Production, Six Sigma and RCPS (root cause problem solving) etc.: - Co-ordinate continuous improvement training schedules to meet HPS needs - Mentor continuous improvement projects and teams - Mentor teams in HPS of all kinds of operations and process excellence projects 3, Lean Operations – including manufacturing, maintenance, quality and back office 61 Assets Utilization/OEE 61 Kaizen events 61 5S disciplines 61 Plant assessments 61 Plant operations management 61 Value Stream Mapping 4, Act as change agent to promote continuous improvement culture and operation reliability throughout the organization. 5, Other that is arranged by direct supervisor. Special Features 1) The Incumbent needs to contact with corporate GET Operation excellence team and leverage resource from Global Excellence Team (GET), Rotterdam and Geismar sites. 2) Contact with finance team to assure all the saving is sustainable. Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed 1. Bachelor’s degree and above, major in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, 3-5 years related operation excellence experience in Chemical plant. 2. Strong analytical and statistical skills, Strong computer literacy – Minitab/Excel, power BI and PowerPoint. 3. Demonstrate good leadership, lean six sigma black belt is preferred. 4. Strong communication and influence skills to work with plant personnel from senior to junior level. 5. Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the site, good teamwork. 6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects. 7. Initiative and willing to work under pressure. 8. Fluent English in spoken and written, familiar with office software (Excel, PPT etc.) 9. Proven experience on project management.
