Overview: We are currently seeking a Fraud Analyst. The Fraud Analyst reports directly to the Fraud Supervisor within the Risk & Operations team. Schedule flexibility and willingness to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, as needed to meet the needs of the department are required.
Responsibilities: As a valuable East West Bank team member, your duties (not limited to) will include: 61 Triages daily/periodic review of critical reports that monitor transactions for suspicious activity as needed 61 Conducts analysis and research of account activity to identify transaction patterns, assess levels of risk and flag potential fraud 61 Utilizes bank systems, resources, policies, and procedures to diligently evaluate accounts and situations that may require unique treatment and a specialized approach 61 Supports business partners with risk related scenarios 61 Will perform outreach to customers to review transaction activity/alerts in certain circumstances. 61 Ability to meet departmental goals satisfactorily 61 Assists with providing feedback to enhance departmental procedures and fraud prevention measures 61 A degree of creativity and lateral thinking is expected 61 Must be analytical and focused with the ability to conduct transaction analysis 61 Provide assistance to other Fraud Analysts, Fraud Investigators, and Legal Process Specialists to resolve concerns and complaints from external/internal customers, fraud investigations, and/or legal order processes
Qualifications: 61 1-2 year of experience in loss prevention/retail banking/back-office environment, preferably with a financial institution. 61 Demonstrated success in a customer service role that included a commitment to exceptional service for internal and external contacts 61 Knowledge of electronic payment fraud schemes preferred. 61 Must have schedule flexibility and willingness to work extended hours to meet the needs of the department 61 Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and timelines, while consistently meeting deadlines and delivering a quality work product 61 Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities 61 Ability to work Independently 61 Satisfactory verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 61 Demonstrates ability to maintain strict confidentiality and consistently exhibits the utmost in discretion 61 Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines 61 Ability to work with cross functional teams 61 Demonstrate solid computer skills including MS Office applications 61 Proficiency (read/write) in English required and ability to speak/understand Cantonese is preferred but not required.
