Job Purpose: The Sourcing Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key global accounts in the home hard goods category for our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have experience in e-commerce, category management, and account management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple accounts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver sourcing solutions that meet customer needs while driving profitability and growth in global markets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Account Management: o Act as the primary point of contact for global accounts in the home hard goods category, fostering strong relationships with key clients. o Understand client needs, identify opportunities for growth, and manage day-to-day account activities to ensure client satisfaction. o Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on product offerings, pricing, promotions, and delivery schedules. 2. Sourcing Strategy & Planning: o Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the home hard goods category, ensuring alignment with e-commerce objectives and market trends. o Identify and onboard new suppliers to meet the demands of clients, ensuring a diverse and high-quality product portfolio. o Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, logistics, design, product development) to align sourcing plans with business goals. 3. Category Management: o Own the category management process, including product selection, pricing, and inventory management, for the home hard goods category. o Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitors, and customer preferences, using this data to optimize product offerings. o Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure product assortments meet customer demands and maximize sales. 4. Global Market Focus: o Manage and grow accounts across multiple global markets, understanding regional preferences and sourcing requirements. o Leverage global supplier networks to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of products. o Adapt sourcing strategies to meet the unique needs and demands of different international markets, ensuring the business remains agile in a dynamic e-commerce environment. 5. Negotiation & Cost Management: o Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive advantages and cost-effective solutions. o Monitor and manage costs associated with sourcing and procurement to maximize profitability for the business. o Ensure suppliers adhere to quality standards, lead times, and agreed terms to maintain smooth operations. 6. Collaboration & Communication: o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. o Provide regular updates to senior management regarding account performance, product sourcing, and market trends. o Act as a liaison between internal teams and clients to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. 7. Performance Tracking & Reporting: o Track and report on the performance of sourced products, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, inventory levels, and product margins to assess sourcing efficiency. o Use analytics and data insights to drive decision-making and improve account management strategies. Qualifications & Skills: 61 Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, or a related field. 61 Experience: o Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, sourcing, or category management within an e-commerce environment. o Experience in the home hard goods category, with a deep understanding of product sourcing and trends. o Proven experience managing global accounts and working with international suppliers. o Strong background in e-commerce platforms, online sales, and digital marketing. 61 Skills: o Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and suppliers. o Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. o Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends to inform sourcing decisions. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and e-commerce management tools/systems. o Knowledge of supply chain management, product lifecycle, and logistics within the e-commerce industry.
