KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for Shanghai QAD system administration of system, co-ordinating with QAD staff responsible for other sites within the group. 2. Ensure all enhancements and customisations are developed and tested to IT standards and deployed in a controlled manner. 3. Work with QAD on any development promotion into Test and Live environments. 4. Work with other 3rd parties involved with QAD or QAD related projects and deployments. 5. Manage all aspects and any new issues, within the QAD environment and its related systems. 6. Resolve any technical issues promptly and provide communication to all stakeholders at all times. 7. Ensure quick turn around on any customised or specific reporting requirements from the QAD system. 8. Ability to create and support customised programme code (Progress 4GL). 9. Ability to support user issues and processes within a manufacturing environment. 10. Support analysis and business requirements’ phases, ensuring the delivery of quality business requirements. 11. Support and help drive internal / external requirement sessions, assess impacted business areas. 12. Evaluate with technical teams to understand and review / document the high-level impact of proposed enhancements. 13. Thoroughly document and train details of all approved changes / modifications. 14. Report creation / customisations and administration from QAD system. 15. Assist and aid in general IT systems and application support as and when required. 16. Strong verbal and written communications skills and an excellent telephone manner. 17. Excellent interpersonal skills. 18. Proven customer service skills based on a genuine desire to help others.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE 1. Educated to degree or equivalent level with an evidence of professional development in an IT role. 2. Minimum 10 years of experience working with QAD applications and customisations in a manufacturing organisation. 3. Experience in working within manufacturing businesses operating MRP and Kanban processes is essential. 4. Knowledge of business and manufacturing processes and implementations into QAD, it is not enough just to be a QAD systems consultant. 5. Actively worked on QAD systems for deployment/enhancement. 6. Successful experience of managing QAD transition to EE.
