About our group:
The Seagate Cloud Marketing organization partners with the world’s leading technology companies to deliver storage solutions at scale. We connect strategy to execution, driving collaboration among a diverse and cross-functional network of peers across the Seagate enterprise and among industry peers and leaders.
As a member of our Cloud Product Marketing team, you will develop and execute content strategies to establish or enhance unique value propositions within China’s hyperscale ecosystem. Through your relationships with peers in the industry through social, consortia, and other forums, you will pressure-test messaging and develop stories to position the Seagate portfolio of products and services to address existing and future storage requirements.
About the role - you will:
1. As a Cloud Product Marketer, you will play a pivotal role in creating preference for and alignment with the Seagate portfolio within the hyperscale cloud ecosystem including:
2. Simplify and amplify compelling technical stories: Develop unique value propositions and audience frameworks to influence customer, partner, and influencer preference.
3. Turn market analysis into messaging pillars and effective enablement content: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the hyperscale data center storage market.
4. Create powerful content: Produce high-quality marketing content such as whitepapers, case studies, presentations, and blog posts to support product awareness, demand generation, and media engagements.
5. Develop solution-selling capabilities: Identify brands, personas, and portfolio positioning for collaboration advocacy, creating product preference through requirements, ease of use, or ecosystem presence.
6. Activate effective go-to-market strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute go-to-market plans, including product launches, campaigns, and customer-facing materials.
7. Engage an influential network of Customer and Ecosystem relationships: Engage with customers and industry influencers to gather insights, build relationships, and advocate for our products through joint go-to-market efforts or solution development.
8. Tell stories from the stage (virtual or in person): You are a subject matter expert and your voice matters; tell stories that engage go-to-market team members, conference attendees, and customers to amplify and advocate for Seagate solutions.
About you:
1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Research Skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and summarize reports, articles, conference materials for market perspective relevance.
3. Storytelling Ability: Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into engaging and understandable narratives.
4. Passion for Technology: Enthusiastic about the cloud services market applications and eager to learn about data storage solutions.
5. Collaborative Mindset: Team player with the ability to work effectively across different teams and departments.
6. Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive thinker who is excited to tackle challenges and contribute innovative ideas.
7. Data and Content Visualization: Develop clear and engaging, verbal, graphic, and data visualization.
Your experience includes:
1. Experience within the hyperscale infrastructure market: we develop best by connecting the dots of our experiences to carry us forward into new opportunities. How has your experience given you subject matter expertise to tell compelling stories within the hyperscale cloud market?
2. Technical background as a field applications engineer / pre-sales solutions engineer: you’re a technically trained story-teller and you can help draw out what customers need most to develop well-positioned solutions portfolios.
3. Market research savvy: you’ve made a career of understanding markets, both qualitatively and quantitatively and turning that insight into products and solutions.
4. Conference keynote story-teller or media engagement: you’re not afraid of the stage, nor the spotlight. You can craft the right story for the right audience and leverage that opportunity to generate meaningful interest.

With its strong technical knowledge and experience, Seagate has worked with many customers and business partners to help capture market opportunities – both domestically and overseas. Now the company operates four branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu; a surveillance center, and a data recovery center in Hangzhou.
