ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Leader in developing and validating embedded hardware design applications. 61 Leads/supervises embedded hardware design and PCB layout designs utilizing standard tools 61 Directs all aspects of electronics circuit design with minimal supervision 61 Mentors/coaches/trains engineers with less experience 61 Partners with system architects to review and clarify design requirements and define the appropriate EE architecture. 61 Expertly assemble prototypes, design *** powerup, design debug and functional circuit verification. 61 Work with and manage external component suppliers/manufacturers and provide input to their product roadmaps 61 Communicates technical aspects of a project effectively to customers. 61 Define design innovations and potential patentable solutions 61 Leads resolution of complex design issues and manages design trade-offs 61 May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 61 Detailed knowledge (with moderate complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards. 61 Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one of more of Electical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Power supply Theory, Digital theory, Analog theory, RF Design, etc. 61 Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: Component derating, DFMEA, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, simulation tools, etc.
NON-TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 61 Influence others and share best practices 61 Effectively communicate with good understanding of English. 61 Work as part of a global team 61 Assess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones. 61 Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ) 61 Mentor less experienced engineers. 61 Leads EE projects with multiple engineers assigned. 61 Leads cross-functional and EE design reviews EDUCATIION&EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 61 Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE/PhD or equivalent experience) 61 8+ years experience in embedded hardware design or other key competency 61 Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
