Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role 61 Role supports the Global sourcing of all new products to be launched across globe. 61 Supports all commodities (Bumper to Bumper) scope. 61 Support Global Product management team with supplier market analysis and pricing data points Key Responsibilities 61 Understand and effectively communicate global business & regional trends and drivers (technological & business footprints). 61 Utilize commodity expertise, to build and develop a competitive supplier base and manage long-term relationships with the suppliers to support the global business trends and drivers. 61 Support and align commodity strategies to achieve corporate, purchasing & regional business objectives. Should include supply base rationalization, development & spend management for geographic considerations, Best Cost Country (BCC), business needs, new technologies, marketing/product strategies and cost management goals. 61 Possess knowledge of supply market trends and characteristics (associations, conferences, etc). 61 Accountability for supplier cost, schedule and quality, aiding in escalations as needed to drive decisions affecting operational and cost efficiency. 61 Responsible for commodity assigned sourcing and sample ordering to support the product development and Projects. 61 Purchasing participant on Advanced Technology projects related to commodities, negotiate upfront with supplier technology partners to mitigate downstream risk. 61 Drive new supplier approval process. 61 Provides management with status, impact analyses, and recommendations necessary to make decisions to resolve issues and meet commitments. 61 Perform benchmarking and cost analysis in awareness of the market trend to develop strategies to ensure the competitive cost advantage and preserve the right purchasing decision. 61 Provide recover mechanisms for cost drives, when necessary. 61 Coordinate w VA/VE manager on Right Side Sourcing opportunities. 61 Align the negotiation strategy and direction for commodity, include appropriate team members. 61 Lead the commodity team to execute negotiation on all business terms and conditions including cost, payment term, incoterm, lead time, inventory, contracts and etc. 61 As Contract Sponsor, negotiate, create, maintain & enforce all commodity supplier contracts according to the regional legal standards. 61 Coordinate with DRiV Corporation legal team to ensure contractual obligations minimize risk to the Company. 61 Maintain price tables and/or manage requisitions for pricing related to commodity contracts/negotiations. 61 Store contracts according to DRiV Corporation policy. 61 Coordinate with SDE to establish & implement quality assurance standards and ensure suppliers strict adherence to the standards. 61 Support the supplier performance management and follow up specific development with suppliers. 61 Serve as focal point for escalation of all supplier relationship issues. Ensure quick and efficient resolution of unplanned issues. 61 Proactively identifies risks and linkages. Anticipate potential problems. Ensures contingency plans are created and proper coordination occurs. Recommends alternatives and trade-offs and ensures that decisions are made by the appropriate team, organization, or manager at the partner. 61 The authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system and the authority to stop further work on non-conforming suspect product until the deficiency or conditions have been corrected. 61 Define and execute skill sets to achieve team goals and objectives. Monitor the sourcing and purchasing strategies & policies. 61 Execute team management like target settings, capacity balancing, team development, performance reviews, personnel issues, training, etc. as required. (If supervise employees) 61 Capable of providing any other additional support as requested by supervisor. 61 Follow the EHS regulations of the company. Implement the EHS requirement to ensure all action satisfied with ISO14001、IATF16949 & OHSAS18001 requirements. Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies) Education: 61 Bachelor/Master in Mechanical/Engineering/Business background required with a preference for an MBA. Experience: 61 Minimum 10 years global sourcing experience in multinational automotive industry, specialize in high mix low volume products or aftermarket sourcing experience is preferred, people management experience is preferred. Demonstrated background, proven experience with high level purchasing and supplier management. 61 Experience to take commodity strategy ownership, available to work across global various working culture and timing. 61 Familiar with the cost drivers, sourcing tools & processes, proactive cost management, commercial contracts and supply chain management. 61 Familiar to quality tools. (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, 8D...) 61 Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. 61 Solid project management experience and presentation skill. Essential Competencies: 61 Result-oriented and strong execution. 61 Self-motivated, leadership and Charisma. 61 Proficiency in English. 61 Excellent MS Office software application, including Word, Excel and PPT. 61 Good sense and skilled for safety tools practice.
