Job Summary: The Sourcing Manager is primarily responsible for creating tactical plans to enact Sourcing Director’s sourcing strategies for areas of product responsibility, drive vendor sourcing / evaluation, vendor / product development activities and provide leadership and necessary support to subordinate sourcing teams to ensure on time execution and quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s needs / expectations. Job Responsibilities: - Create tactical plans to enact Sourcing Director’s sourcing strategies for areas of product responsibility. Assist Sourcing Director in developing and cultivating vendor partnerships to meet current and future needs according to strategic direction. Drive / manage product execution from concept to in store delivery of quality product. - Assist Sourcing Director to manage pricing to secure the lower cost options for Merchandising team through effective negotiation and value improvement initiatives. Bring industry product/manufacturing insights and innovative product offers to Merchandising team. - Assist Sourcing Director to achieve total company financial goals. Understand vendor/factory organizational structure and financial feasibility. Identify potential financial risks and report. Support Sourcing Director to develop and strengthen vendor capabilities – Great vendor, Great product and Lower cost. Identify and resolve operational issues proactively with the collaboration with cross functional teams. - Evaluation of factory production to ensure that they are able to meet Lowe’s requirements as it relates to production output and quality. - Coach and develop Sourcing Specialist through work assignment, direct training and regular feedback in order to achieve company current / future goals and succession planning needs. Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in business or other profession in related fields - 7+ years of relevant industry experience related to the retail market. - Experience with private brand product development from concept to design, from sampling to mass production, from shipment to after-sales service - Experience in International Business, Sourcing and Merchandising - Knowledge of manufacturing process and import sourcing practices / procedures - Knowledge of global supplier base and strong supplier development experience - Solid experience with big vendor partnership - Demonstrated leadership of teams – both direct reports and cross business functions - Excels at relationship management - Strong negotiation skills - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Good command of both oral and written English with strong logic and communication skills
