Execute new opportunities identified across the business line to proactively source customer-compliant suppliers and new products that achieve our cost savings targets and quality standards. 1) Identify SKUs, current forecasts, and vendors. 2) Prepare and share Request for Quote, RFQ, with target costs. 3) Review quotes and negotiate costs with vendors. 4) Execute RFQ comparison forms for accurate cost comparisons. 5) Facilitate Vendor Qualification Checklist, VQC. 2. Develop interface with Audit team (Third Party and Internal). 3. Interface with US and SHO Marketing – Support new development with vendor quotes and samples within timeline required for business award. 1) Interface with SHO Global Sourcing 2) Timeline Management 3) Special Projects 4) Factory Certification 84 Follow up on the status of New Vendors 84 Address Factory and/or Sourcing challenges when current factories require it 4. Execute global sourcing projects for low risk, medium risk, and high-risk categories. 5. Drive Costing Analysis and Cost Reductions 1) Vendor Price Increases – Margin Analysis and Negotiation 2) Special Projects and Margin Analysis 3) Cost Re-engineering 4) Replenishment Items 5) Consolidated Purchase Orders 6) Tooling/Molding Investments 6. Coordinate new vendor set-up paperwork – SHO Sourcing and US Finance. Requirements: 61 Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Business/Supply Chain 61 8 Years Experience in Global Sourcing (outside China) for Hard Good Categories: Toy, Stationery, Compounds, HBA, Activity Kits, Crafts, Seasonal, Home Décor 61 Strong Expertise in working with Value Tier Customer Base- Dollar General, Family Dollar, Five Below 61 Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese 61 Based in Shanghai Office (SHO) 61 Extensive Travel - 40% travel to domestic and international factories 61 Strong interpersonal and Communication skills. 61 Excellent time management skills
