Job Summary: This role will lead technological research, development, and innovation in the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring alignment with Shaw’s overall strategic goals. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including Category Management, Product Development, and Brand Leadership teams, to drive the implementation of innovation projects in Asia. Additionally, you will coordinate collaboration with Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, Sustainability, IP Legal, Corporate Innovation, and Residential Innovation teams to ensure effective resource allocation and project prioritization. You will have decision-making authority over vendor selection, resource deployment (to meet the priorities of Category and Brand Management in Asia), resource deployment (to explore innovation opportunities in Asia), and prioritization of China Lab projects. Through cross-functional collaboration and strategic resource management, you will drive technological research, development, and innovation in the Asia region, supporting Shaw’s long-term growth objectives in the area. The total package could be negotiated.
Responsibilities: 61 Hard surface flooring new product and platform development 61 Leadership of Technical Managers and the China Lab 61 Vendor capability assessment 61 Provide timely updates on current projects 61 Facilitation of new product development; including managing the timeline and expectations of the product technical development cycle 61 Offer insights and expertise to help create marketing materials that highlight product features and benefits 61 Collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and customer/end user expectations 61 Develop and disseminate knowledge of current products in the market 61 Identify and implement new products and performance attributes to meet evolving customer needs 61 Secure and advance intellectual property rights for new innovations, working closely with the legal team to ensure new technologies are protected 61 Foster a learning environment and mindset 61 Collaborate with ROW technical partners to develop new products and troubleshoot existing products as needed
