Bring your experience in quality engineering, manufacturing processes and product design to this Supplier Quality Engineering role within Philips. Your challenge will be to guide our Supplier Partners to always do the right thing. This involves being a confident advisor on engineering product quality management related topics, in order to achieve delivery of high quality and outstanding reliability products.
Duties and responsibilities include:
61Participating in the assessment, selection, qualification audit and technical development of new (and existing) suppliers. 61Identifying quality/technical issues at suppliers and driving resolution (closed loop corrective action - SCAR). 61Ensuring quality control plans are in place across the supply chain, alignment of OQC (outgoing quality control) and IQC (incoming quality control). 61Supplier caused quality problem solving. Work with other functional engineering disciplines as required to permanently solve supplier quality problems. 61Verify supplier readiness to the appropriate level of maturity, from the quality management perspective, at each milestone in a product development process. 61Review designs for manufacturability and ability to meet quality and reliability performance targets. Collaborate with and influence product development project teams to design for quality/reliability. 61Ensure supplier early involvement/input into product requirements and design specifications, and supplier participation in Philips design reviews. 61Manage Supplier Quality performance and reporting, Monthly Quality reports and Quarterly Supplier Reviews (MRB, PPM, SCAR, etc.). 61Supplier Change/Deviation Notice point contact for supplier. Liaison between R&D and Supplier as applicable.
Requirements:
61Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 61Experience: At least 8 years of Quality work experience within the medical device, automotive or other regulated industry including…Supplier assessment and auditing; Advanced Product Quality Planning; hands-on quality sustaining support within a factory setting; Supplier development and performance management 61 Working knowledge of statistical methods, quality tools and methodologies (DfSS, CtQ, SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA/GR&R, Control Plans, SCAR, etc). Six Sigma BB certification preferred, Lead auditor certification and experience preferred. 61 Ability to work independently, think analytically, and apply methodical engineering problem solving skills required. 61 Ability to influence others and build effective working relationships both internally and externally at various organizational levels.
