- Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, capability, and reliability. Conduct supplier audits, risk assessments, and evaluations. Monitor and improve supplier quality performance using metrics like PPM (parts per million), defect rates, and corrective actions. - Supplier Development: Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to drive quality enhancements. Provide support for root cause analysis, corrective action plans (CAPA), and preventive actions (PA) to address quality issues. Implement quality control standards and methods with suppliers to prevent defects in incoming parts. - Collaboration and Communication: Liaise between suppliers and internal teams to address quality concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner. Work closely with R&D, purchasing, sustained engineering, and production teams to ensure product specifications are met and quality is maintained throughout the supply chain. Provide technical support to suppliers for product design changes, material specifications, and manufacturing processes. - Compliance and Documentation: Ensure supplier compliance with Lenze quality standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications. Maintain records of supplier audits, quality reports, and improvement initiatives. Analyze and report quality data to management to track performance and provide recommendations for improvement. - Problem-Solving and Technical Support: Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related quality issues. Apply problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, etc.) to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions. - Training and Development: Provide quality training to suppliers as needed to ensure adherence to Lenze quality standards. Support internal teams with the knowledge and tools needed to manage supplier-related quality issues.
Requirements:
- University degree in mechanical, material or industrial Engineering or equivalent - Familiar with the manufacturing process technology of geared-motor related components, such as die-casting parts, machined parts, motor stators and rotors, gears, etc. - Knowledge of statistics, common quality management tools / standards and audit experience in an industrial environment - Analytical thinking skills and independent action paired with communication and teamwork skills, confident demeanor and assertiveness - Skilled user of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Access - SAP user experience are beneficial - 5+ year Experiences in automation industry or similar - Very good knowledge of English and willingness to travel domestically
