About the job As a Global Sourcing Manager, you will be a member of a highly engaged global procurement team. You will drive the sourcing strategy for new key technologies, working alongside senior stakeholders in research & development and business units.
This is your new job: New Product Introduction (NPI) - Bill of Materials (BOM) 1.Report to project team (both sourcing team and key stakeholders): marketing & benchmarking data on Front End or Back End Manufacturing BOM related technologies (Silicon Carbide, Gallium Nitride and other new product fields) based on key suppliers, market shares, technology capabilities and price trends 2.Develop robust sourcing strategies (multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, short and long term management) and manage stakeholders and project team to align on and push forward these sourcing strategies 3.Develop Material flows and Supply Chains to ensure a Continuous Improvement philosophy is adopted 4.Secure Long-Term agreements (LTAs) with Supplier partners, and nurturing supplier relationships whilst making sure a fully aligned Supplier Development Plan is actively delivered 5.Scout and purchase BOM samples for R&D sample building up or technical studies 6.Collaborate closely with commodities team 7.Comply with policies and processes and contribute to our Continuous Improvement philosophy 8.Other related activities for BOM
NPI – Research & Development (R&D) contracts 1.Collaborate with stakeholder to perform market analysis (engineering markets, cost levels for material base contracts, etc.) 2.Scout and purchase R&D contracts (Design Outsourcing Contracts, Joint Develop Contracts with universities or other technical institutions, etc.)
NPI – Equipment Parts Service (EPS) for Front End (FE) or Back End (BE) Manufacturing 1.Scout and purchase of EPS 2.Focus on new equipment and spare parts for front end or backend manufacturing 3.Perform market analysis, ensure multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, perform commercial comparison, Total cost of Ownership (TCOO) evaluation to select vendors and tools model
NPI - Take a role 1.Act as Project Manager, Sourcing Owner or Project Member. This also involves the opportunity to lead a team in the future 2.Communicate and negotiate in a proactive, independent manner to effectively and thoughtful manage the best Total cost of Ownership (TCOO) 3.Work closely together with Europe R&D communities
Job Requirement: 1.University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar 2.Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a Global Procurement Environment 3.Experience in category management and developing a sourcing strategy from scratch 4.Procurement experience in a tech-based manufacturing environment (Automotive, Semiconductor, etc.) 5.Semiconductor experience and knowledge of Silicon Carbide (SiC) or Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies is a plus 6.High independent work ethic and the desire to work on greenfield projects 7.Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills 8.Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytics skills 9.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level 10.Strong ambition and skill to quickly adapt to a global and dynamic working environment 11.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Chinese language skills are beneficial 12.Willingness to travel
