What you’ll do 61 Defines and execute the commodity strategy for your scope of components 61 Support benchmarking activities for your scope 61 Build and maintain high-level relationships with your group of strategic suppliers 61 Ensures world-class supply base (supplier selection and allocation, standardization, consolidation & optimization, negotiation and contracting, supplier performance rating and measurement) 61 Ensure full alignment with businesses and functions (Procurement engineering, component engineering, R&D, ..) on NPI, MOT, benchmarking, building business cases for supplier/component choices 61 Drives strategic cost management (lean / continuous improvement programs / Should-cost models, DfX Convention) 61 Manages supplier risk assessments including liability Management, financial assessments, capacity assessment, etc. 61 Manages supplier potential evaluation (technologies and capabilities, strategic segmentation) Drives and accumulates all supply base related marketing intelligence and benchmarking for your scope of semiconductors (IC + Small signal devices)
Your qualifications 74 Experienced Procurement Professional: At least 5 years of experience in Procurement commodity management. Technical knowledge (especially in electronics/semiconductors) is highly preferred A proven track record of forming win-win partnerships with suppliers. This professional should bring both a strategic and “hands on” mindset and an exposure to change management; 74 Global Experience: A globally minded professional, experience on doing global business across GBU's / Categories. This person will be comfortable with diverse teams and should be culturally attuned to succeeding in a complex environment; 74 Business Acumen: Must have the strategic capability to devise short- and long term strategies, balanced by the operational capability to implement them. This professional must also be highly analytical, process driven and result oriented, with a bias for action. Preferably business oriented; 74 Executing for results: The successful candidate will be a change agent in deploying the Procurement strategy and process and must be capable of creating sense of urgency. This individual must have the ability to break down complex problems, systematically identify causes and develop solutions. This includes and ability to adapt to altering situations, to persist despite setbacks, and to get things done; 74 Strong Communicator / Influencer This individual must be highly collaborative and able to work effectively outside the sphere of direct influence and be able to communicate clearly with a wide range of relevant stakeholders. In addition, the Strategic Buyer must have a business mind and be capable of interacting with relevant stakeholders throughout the GBU / Category to ensure credibility and collaboration between the Procurement organization and the business and have a reputation for unimpeachable integrity.
