Position Overview: Due to our company's rapid growth, we are offering a unique new position in our global engineering function: Senior Engineer Electronics, located at Shanghai. As a Senior Engineer Electronics, you will be technically responsible for developing components and sub-assemblies to meet our customer and internal design specifications. You will collaborate within the advanced engineering team. The Senior Engineer Electronics maintains primary contacts with internal departments such as Advanced Engineering, Project Engineering, Validation, SQD, Purchasing, Sales, and maintains technical-level contacts with suppliers and OEMs. Your challenge will be to perform your tasks within budget, against the agreed quality level, and within the given time plan with a strong customer focus. In this position, you will cooperate in multidisciplinary project teams and work closely with Project Engineers and Commodity Engineers. This position is based Shanghai.

You report directly to the Manager Electronics Advanced Engineering, based in our Corporate Headquarters in Venray, The Netherlands.

Job description

61 Develop new products in (Horizon projects) from proof of principle (Technical Readiness Level 1 - TRL1) to Ready to sell (TRL5) and support introduction of the technology in new customer projects.
61 Specifying technical requirements and testing of mechatronic proto components/sub systems according TRL definition till TRL 5.
61 Ensure all deliverables are met in compliance with customer & internal company product & project gateways.
61 Performing technical risk analysis in consideration of Inalfa & customer specifications, using formal design engineering tools such as DFMEA.
61 Performing feasibility studies based on technical specifications resulting into design concepts.
61 Performing design reviews to verify the proposed design.
61 Specify the engineering activities to be able to build prototypes and validation for roofs and their components based on initial design concepts.
61 Perform technical risk analysis using formal design engineering tools (DFMEA / GD&T / DFA / CAD / CAE /
61 Review and evaluate product designs concerning costs and manufacturability.
61 Specify the engineering activities to build prototypes based on initial design concepts.
61 Improve product specifications and standardization documents to meet the required quality level of the design.
61 Technical liaison for CAD Design Engineers and component suppliers.
61 Proactively support both our customer and supplier quality assurance departments to enable component and product sign off agreements
61 In close cooperation with Inalfa purchase team, carrying out business strategies, coordinate the development of the electrical and electronic sub systems.
61 Performing activities on the location of customer or supplier
61 Preparing forecast information for reviewing project hours and material costs

What do we expect from you?

61 You have a finished degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering / Automotive Engineering on MSc level.
61 3-10 years of work experience. Automotive experience is preferred, but not always necessary.
61 Knowledge of automotive software standards and processes like Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262, protocols like CAN, UDS and tools like Vector and MathWorks (Simulink)
61 As a professional you have a service/customer-oriented approach with good analytical and organizational skills. In your work you focus on results, and you can manage your planning and set priorities.
61 As the automotive industry is focused on Quality you are as well. Therefore, you bring good problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and proactive approach.
61 It is very important to have very good communication skills in English and preferably Dutch and/ or German.

61 Willingness to travel occasionally.
