As the Excellence Manager – Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of KNIL’s freight settlement service offering.
Your Role 13This role requires a deep understanding of freight payment, financial processes, and technological solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, including the Customer and 3PL providers to streamline processes, ensure accuracy, and optimize efficiencies within our freight settlement operations.
Your Responsibilities You will be creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP’s) relating to freight settlement and accruals, as well as creating, managing and presenting (internally and externally) key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track, visualize, understand the financial situation, generate actionable recommendations and ensure their implementation and efficiency. You will be responsible for the seamless onboarding of any new LSP’s specifically relating to the freight settlement solution. The typical problems that this job is required to solve, are linked with (for example): Ensuring full control on financial flows linked to KNIL freight settlement service. Acting on internal and external escalations relating to the freight settlement service. Ensuring accurate accruals reporting (within scope) to the Customer. Ensuring adherence to KN financial guidelines. Supporting the Customer on month end closure. Ensuring accuracy and achievement of KPI’s in the freight settlement service. Customer and LSP billing process controlling: Take ownership in communication with internal and external counterparts and act as a single point of contact for all freight settlement service topics. Resolve LSP billing queries by using knowledge as a subject matter expert to dive into the freight settlement service and provide root-cause analysis. Ensure proper month end closure of customer accounts, handling of accruals according to business logic, customer requirements and financial guidelines. Ensure correct cost allocation as per customer requirements. Ensure accurate billing throughout the entire global billing cycle. Organize the creation and maintenance of accurate financial reports on logistics key indicators (e.g. FIN report, accruals reporting, E2E freight settlement KPI etc.) relevant for the business to provide data transparency and support the decision-making process. Ensure compliance with agreed KPI’s. Provide root cause analysis of process issues and co-ordinate delivery of agreed improvements across multiple internal and external parties. Own the creation and maintenance of SOP’s relating to the freight settlement service offering.
Your Skills and Experiences Business data analysis, Finance and Economics management, Accounting will be the key to your success. Proven experience in accounting and / or logistics would be seen as advantage.
