JOB DESCRIPTION- Hospitality Program Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 84 A master’s degree in the appropriate academic discipline (hospitality preferred) 84 A minimal five years’ management experience in higher education institution 84 A minimum of 3 years Teaching/training experience required 84 Interpersonal and Communication skills 84 Time management and project management skills 84 Strategic thinking and planning abilities 84 Hospitality personality, good at communication, team-player 84 Self-Motivated 84 Hard working and dependable 84 Willingness to learn and improve 84 Windows (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 84 Fluent in English, Chinese preferrable AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 89 To supervise, evaluate and promote professional development of faculty and staff. 89 To work closely with the Campus Director and Academic Dean to assure educational quality is achieved. 89 To make recommendations to Academic Dean concerning matters of departmental faculty status (teaching quality, teaching load, promotion, termination, etc.) 89 To assist and advise departmental faculty in the areas of professional training, development, research, etc. 89 To assist in the recruitment of additional faculty members as the academic program requires. 89 To provide the departmental faculty with relevant information concerning college-wide policies and enforce standards. 89 To maintain appropriate levels of departmental faculty morale. 89 To provide opportunity within the department for faculty members to resolve difficulties with other faculty members. 89 To counsel and advice students. 89 To counsel and advise faculty base on programs and courses. 89 To aid in the recruitment of students and companies. 89 To provide opportunities within the department for students to resolve difficulties with departmental faculty members. 89 To provide for the recognition of academic achievement through student awards. 89 To formulate with the Academic Dean a program for assessing effectiveness and to maintain appropriate records demonstrating assessment. 89 To review and evaluate departmental offerings, (curriculum, general education requirements and electives). 89 To schedule and participate in department meetings as required
