Role Overview: The Application Trainer and Project Support role in Shanghai is a pivotal position focused on delivering technical training, providing project support, and ensuring best practices across applications for Sika’s roofing and waterproofing product lines. This role supports the effective implementation and application of Sika products while maintaining high standards of technical service for customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Training and Product Education
o Design, develop, and conduct technical training programs for internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, focusing on roofing and waterproofing systems.
o Ensure accurate, up-to-date knowledge transfer of application techniques, product benefits, and safety protocols.
o Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to produce training materials, including online resources, manuals, and video content.
2. Project Support and Application Assistance
o Provide on-site and remote project support, assisting contractors and clients in the correct application of Sika products.
o Serve as the technical expert, troubleshooting issues and offering immediate support to resolve on-site challenges.
o Liaise with project teams to ensure quality standards, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
3. Continuous Improvement and Documentation
o Gather feedback from training sessions and project support activities to refine training modules and enhance product documentation.
o Maintain technical documentation, including application guides, product data sheets, and troubleshooting protocols, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
o Work closely with sales, marketing, technical support, and R&D teams to stay aligned on new product developments and market trends.
o Participate in project planning meetings, providing insights into application feasibility and training needs.
5. Customer Relations and Service
o Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
o Address and report on customer feedback, complaints, and suggestions to support continuous product and service improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
61 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
61 Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training, project support, or a similar role within the construction or building materials industry, preferably with a focus on roofing or waterproofing products.
61 Strong technical knowledge of construction materials and application methods.
61 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences.
61 Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CAD /
Cinema 4d systems.
61 Willingness to travel within APAC as required.
Skills and Competencies:
61 Demonstrated ability to manage and conduct training sessions effectively.
61 Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
61 High level of organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
61 Proficient in Mandarin and English.
