Responsibilities Work independently to deal with legal issues relating to daily corporate business, including but not limited to employment related issues, customer loyalty plan, corporate communication and investor relationship, crisis management, marketing and advertising, property management services and customer complaints, insurance claims, government investigations, purchasing and procurement, data, IT, IP, ESG and sustainability, process improvement initiatives, establishment and liquidation, board related matters and corporate governance etc., to: - provide legal advisory services; - identify and analyze legal risks on legal and compliance issues and provide mitigation recommendation to function departments; - represent the group in negotiations with business partners, government and regulatory authorities; - draft, review, negotiate and administer contracts, legal documents and other agreements for offices in mainland China; - assist team head to enforce the group legal policy, legal SOP and contract templates and make amendments when necessary; - provide training to function departments; - manage external lawyer, billing and budget; - complete any other work reasonably assigned by supervisor.
Requirements - Bachelor Degree in Law from a reputable (full time) university in PRC. PRC legal qualification is a MUST. - At least 6 years' relevant experience, of which 4 years should be in companies with sizeable operations in the real estate section, reputable law firms or multinational companies. - Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge in general commercial laws. - Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua. - Mature, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, proactive, hands-on, detail and results-oriented and be able to bring projects to a successful closure. - Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to manage relationships across multiple departments, able to work effectively with different stakeholders. - Ability to expeditiously identify and assess issues and provide legally sound recommendations consistent with good business practices. - Good learning ability and able to pick up new tasks quickly. - Strong in execution. - Solid integrity and sense of responsibility. - Good command of computer skills especially in Microsoft office. - Embracing our values of integrity, sustainability, excellence and openness.
