Due to our company's rapid growth, we are offering a unique new position in our global engineering function: Manager Advanced Engineering, located in our R&D HQ Shanghai in China.
As a Manager Advanced Engineering you are responsible for establishing Inalfa's innovation roadmaps and lead a team of engineers and technical experts for realization of innovation projects, based on special technologies respecting technical, planning, commercial aspects and you are responsible for the end results.
As Manager Advanced Engineering you will manage a team of Technical Specialists, Advanced Engineers and CAD engineers.
You maintain primary contacts with Inalfa management, Inalfa global Advanced Engineering and Project Engineering Management team, and key stakeholders from customers and suppliers.
You cooperate and communicate with the internal departments and management, Advanced Engineering, Project Engineering, Validation, SQD, Purchasing and Sales.
You must be able to report on management level to VP’s and Engineering Managers on technical developments, project progress, technical details and support customer visits.
You report directly to the Vice President Advanced Engineering. Based in our Corporate Headquarters in Venray, The Netherlands.

61 Understand roof systems and roof functions and be able to support regions with root cause analyses and problem solving.
61 Develop and manage product and innovation roadmaps and integrate future requirements to further develop Inalfa's product portfolio and support the movement towards a mechatronic company with related products
61 Realize projects according to the Technology Roadmap, pre-development processes and achieve Advanced Engineering Goals and Objectives (technical, timing and commercials).
61 Technically lead new products and technologies development and industrialization support in customer projects.
61 Provide (technical) guidance to remove roadblocks for successful completion of your projects.
61 Identify development project risks and define action plans to mitigate and resolve those risks.
61 Support Global Standardization Initiatives and programs.
61 Drives methodologies & efficiencies to overcome timing constraints & resource shortages with a best-fit approach in the offshore – onside setup
61 Maintain automotive standards compliances by synergy with the Global Advanced Engineering team
61 Maintain key stakeholder contacts for development and forward-thinking strategies.
61 Work closely with Inalfa’s global/regional organizations to implement the developed technologies to achieve optimum application in selected program
61 Drive for continuous improvement on product, people and processes.
61 Manage and build a highly qualified Advanced Engineering team in China.
61 Responsible for training, career development and succession planning for the team.
61 Develop and manage proper resource planning, for local as well as global activities
61 Ensure adherence and realization of the departmental budgets.
What do we expect from you?
61 You have finished a degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering / Mechatronic Engineering on a BsC or MSC level.
61 10-15 years of international R&D experience, preferably in the automotive industry, whereof at least 5 years were with management responsibilities
61 We do expect you to have knowledge of mechanical systems and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
61 Good knowledge of Six Sigma, VDA, IATF and knowledge on automotive tools/processes (e.g. DFMEA / GD&T / DFA / CAD / CAE / Lessons Learned / Design Reviews/A-Spice/FuSa).
61 Good analytical and organizational skills to develop clear strategies and processes
61 Proven capabilities to be an effective communicator, bridge builder with other disciplines.
61 Managing roadblocks/opportunities at the customer, internal organization and supplier-base in an effective way
61 Experience with budgeting process, Project ERD budgets
61 Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
61 High personal and moral integrity that aligns with company values and integrity
61 Willingness to travel occasionally
