Basic Purpose of the role：
The Material Supply (MS) function sits within the IEO China commercial and material supply team and is critical to facilitating the supply and collection of products from vendors to JLR.
Working closely with other IEO teams, MS ensures parts are delivered on time and in full to our China facilities, and for ensuring that any supply issues are quickly resolved. The other functions are then responsible for shipping from China to overseas customers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor, understand and manage customer demand and ensure that supply schedules are received and understood by vendors.
2. Communicate daily with vendors as well as other IEO stakeholders to ensure that day-to-day inbound product deliveries are on time.
3. Actively build strong relationships with vendors to facilitate continuous high performance, and build robust techniques to manage improve vendor performance as required.
4. Ensure any supply risks or issues are quickly identified, then work with vendor to create and implement supply recovery plan.
5. Working to a defined process, liaise with Export &Shipping team to enable timely.

Education ｜ Qualification:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Fluent in English

Experience ｜ Skills required:
1. Good understanding of international supply chain – demand/supply schedule knowledge particularly relevant.
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills
3. Keen ability to identify risks and implement problem-solving solutions.
4. Capable of using large data sets to conduct analysis.
5. Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel).
6. Business awareness of international trade in Export or Import.
7. Resilient and able to learn quickly.
8. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience preferred).
9. CIPS or APICS Certification is a plus.
