Position Summary
Acts as a growth engine for the company, focusing on building strategic relationships, identifying new avenues for revenue generation, and ensuring the company remains competitive and relevant in the evolving retail market.

Key Working Tasks
1) Identifying New Business Opportunities:
Conducting market research to spot trends, gaps, and potential areas for expansion, including new markets, products, and partnerships.
2) Developing and Implementing Strategies:
Creating and executing business development plans aligned with the company's growth objectives in the retail sector. This includes setting sales targets and developing strategies to achieve them.
3) Building and Maintaining Relationships:
Establishing and nurturing strong connections with clients, partners, suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the retail ecosystem. This involves consistent communication and ensuring mutual benefit.
4) Market and Competitor Analysis:
Monitoring industry shifts, analyzing competitor activities (pricing, new products, market behavior), and understanding the company's product positioning to maintain a competitive edge.
5) Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Working closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to create strategies that meet market and client needs and ensure relevant and competitive offerings.
6) Presenting Business Plans:
Communicating growth strategies, market entry plans, potential risks, and expected outcomes to company leaders and stakeholders to gain buy-in for initiatives.
7) Monitoring Progress and Adjusting Plans:
Tracking the performance of business development initiatives, analyzing key metrics (revenue growth, market penetration, client acquisition), and making necessary adjustments to ensure goals are met.
8) Negotiating and Finalizing Agreements:
Leading and supporting the negotiation of business agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
9) Managing Key Landlords:
Expanding and nurturing relationships with existing key customers in the retail sector to foster ongoing revenue and future opportunities.

Experience
3-5 years of experience in retail, or business development, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and implementing successful business development strategies. Managerial experience in retail is often preferred for higher-level roles.
5-8 years for the senior role.
