Your tasks
● You will be responsible for the independent development and implementation of global and cross-location product group strategies (including procurement market analyses etc.), taking into account the company's objectives.
● Furthermore, you will be responsible for the provision of a holistically managed and developed supplier portfolio to the consumers.
● Supplier management (selection, evaluation, development, etc.) is just as much a part of your remit as the negotiation of price agreements, framework, supply and work contracts as well as major contract award projects.
● You will provide support and early involvement in development projects to ensure optimum process compliance so that costs and quality are taken into account accordingly.
● You create the framework conditions for optimized and lean order processing.
● You will also be responsible for implementing measures to optimize the supply chain and identifying and implementing cost optimization approaches.
Your profile
● You have successfully completed your studies in the field of engineering (e.g. industrial engineering, business administration, electrical engineering) or a comparable qualification.
● You have initial experience in strategic purchasing / product group management and a basic technical understanding.
● Ideally, you have some experience in global procurement, familar with commodity casting.
● We require a very good command of written and spoken German or English.
● Your analytical and structured way of thinking and acting, hands-on mentality, ability to work in a team, independence, initiative and reliability are convincing.
● The willingness to travel domestically and abroad (approx. 30%) rounds off your profile.
