Oversee the management, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS). Develop and improve processes for asset capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposals. Lead annual fixed asset audits and support periodic physical inventory verifications in collaboration with operations teams. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, specifically focusing on fixed assets and supporting schedules. Analyze large datasets related to assets and construction-in-progress to provide key performance insights to stakeholders. Own the reconciliation of fixed asset accounts, offering variance analysis and recommendations for improvement. Compliance and Process Improvement:
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and audit requirements related to fixed-assets management. Identify opportunities for process automation and reporting enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and IT, to support projects and align strategies. Actively coordinate with external auditors and internal teams during audits of fixed assets and report preparation. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years specializing in fixed assets management. Big 4 audit firm experience required, with strong understanding of preparing and reviewing fixed assets-related financials. Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Excel, and advanced reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI). Strong technical knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS, especially fixed assets standards. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
