POSITION PURPOSE The Solution Designer will identify key consultants globally, understand market trends in cooling solutions for data center, working out cooling solution concepts with key consultants and actively influence the design as well as support the front-end sales team in customer meetings. This role will serve as key partner between front end sales and the application engineering team, ensuring to build up relationship to key consultants and hyperscale and colocation customers and support developing customer centric cooling concepts for both, data hall cooling and heat rejection. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Identify key consultants globally and build up relationship. 61 Act as *** point of contact for all requirements of consultants. 61 Understand market trends in cooling solutions. 61 Work out cooling solution concepts with consultants and actively influence design concepts. 61 Support quote / no quote decision process in alignment with front-end sales. 61 Review and qualify RFQ07s technically and clarify any ambiguities before handover to solution engineering. 61 Actively support front-end sales in customer meeting. 61 Feedback to product development team on market trends and address needs for product adjustments or development. COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities) 61 Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. 61 Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects. 61 Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. 61 Knowledge of Data Centre environment, cooling concepts, thermodynamics and understanding strategic relationship building. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels) 61 Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, thermodynamics, heat management, or related field. 61 Understanding of HTRI preferred. 61 Minimum of 3 years of experience in thermodynamic and 1-2 years of experience in data centre market environment. 61 Prior experience in a manufacturing or products-based industry is highly desirable. 61 Experience working in an international environment and managing teams.
