RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build up direct technical contact to the key target accounts. Kick off and steer important technical topics with technical counterparts at customer side.
- With proactive team work spirit with sales/marketing, promote comprehensive technical solutions with both good technical and commercial feasibility.
- Initiate and coordinate necessary technical lab work internally and externally, with convincing data and result to support business development or solve customer complaints.
- Develop a database of technical attributes of competitor products, generate clear local technical USP of our solution.
- Compliance with internal and external standards, including Evonik personal and lab safety, EHSQ, information management, external ISO and etc.
- Responsibility of lab space safety and cleanness.
- Develop new application/formulation concept with existing portfolio, with proactive communication with global AT team and local RDI team. Pass on inquiries to RDI when new chemistry/formulation needed.
- Conduct technical training for commercial team/distributors. Present technical solutions on behalf of Evonik at meetings and expos as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS
- Solid knowledge on plastics compounding application, including equipment and handling, such as twin extruder, injection molding, blow/cast film production.
- Solid experience on compound characterization analysis: flame retardancy, mechanical performance related test, etc
- More than 5 years technical service experience in plastics industry
Capable to digest plastic additive related chemistry
- Open communication spirit with good oral English, and proactive problem solving attitude
- Willing to travel 1/3 working time within China.
- Nice to have good network with existing big compounders and film makers.
