Department Overview Incentive Platform Department (INPD) is responsible for developing and operating the Rakuten Point and Rakuten Coupon. We develop and manage Rakuten PointClub and other point related web products, which are among the most popular sites in Rakuten. We will drive the improvement to maximize Rakuten Point value and contribute to the Rakuten Ecosystem. By the time you finish reading this, hundreds of thousands of points transactions have been processed and many users visit our web/app service. We want to work with a person who has a great passion for our services and products.

Position Details
Drive technical vision, strategy, and architecture of the group Manage and grow a team of application engineers, and develop future leaders Manage stakeholders of other business and technical teams to establish priorities and achieve the goals Improve development process, with a focus on regular high-quality releases that align with our business priorities by following the target timeline Production support (on-call) Troubleshooting of service in the trouble
Mandatory Qualifications:
Experience managing a development team (team can consist of some of engineer, QA, SRE, PDM, PJM) Experience in a technical role such as architect, tech lead, software engineer, mobile developer Ability to impact positively on your own organization as well as related organizations to promote continued growth potential Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in parallel Ability to solve complex technical issues Ability to build strong working relationships with supervisors and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in design, engineering, or related fields Experience in E-Commerce and FinTech industries Experience in java web applications development Experience in working with cross-cultural global teams in different locations Japanese skills: Basic reading and writing
