1. Assist technical manager in the Department for daily operation. 2. Supervise repair teams in their daily duties on-board & ashore including planning of work-scope, personnel allocation, assess tool requirement, scheduling and execution of works. 3. Carry out regular monitoring of work progress and ensure works carried as per plan. 4. Coordinate for in-house workshop recon, including inspection, assembly, repair, upgrading, troubleshooting and overhaul of ME/AE/other components. 5. Track and control the cost for works in progress by ensuring optimum manpower deployment, efficient time on task, material consumption and miscellaneous expenses, to achieve the budgeted margin. 6. Manage service work for ongoing ships and workshop, obtain quotations on customer RFQ scope. 7. Assist for travel and accommodation for department personnel, on mobilisation and de mobilization for overseas jobs. 8. Review confirmed jobs for scope and conduct briefing for team leader for planning and preparation. Follow up closely on progress of ongoing jobs. 9. Assist with job folders for timely submission of time sheets, service reports and other related reports for final billing. 10. Assist with production of work done reports, invoices and work specifications etc. 11. Liaise with customers and class, agents and other involved parties as well as other departments, sales staff etc. during repair projects. 12. Any other tasks as and when assigned by the managers.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
1 College or above in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or ship service related field. 2 Marine or Offshore Industry Industrial Knowledge. 3 Competent in Office, AutoCAD. 4 Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and great attention to details. 5 Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently. 6 Continuous improvement mindset. 7 Ability to work well under pressure. 8 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 9 Good team player with good attitude, integrity, interpersonal, organization and time management skills. 10 Fluent in English.
