Drive end-to-end negotiations to secure optimal pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements with key suppliers. ● Supplier Portfolio Optimization: Initiate and manage the New Supplier Introduction (NSI) process, evaluating vendors against quality, cost, and capacity benchmarks. Develop annual supplier roadmaps for geared part material groups, integrating into the category's strategic framework. ● Sourcing & Cost Leadership: Influence early-stage sourcing decisions during product development, ensuring timely data implementation in SAP or other sourcing platform. Monitor monthly performance metrics, drive cost-reduction initiatives (e.g., design re-engineering, process optimization), and collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement programs. ● Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with CM(Category Management), BUP(Business Unit Purchasing), and PP(Production Planning) teams to optimize material supply chains, providing data-driven insights for make-or-buy analyses. Implement Schaeffler Group purchasing initiatives regionally, leveraging synergies to enhance efficiency. ● Operational Excellence: Oversee budget compliance for geared parts procurement, coordinate internal/external audits, and introduce digital tools to drive productivity. Consolidate business performance reports for stakeholder alignment.
Qualifications:
● Educational Background: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. ● Professional Experience: 3+ years of category management experience in geared parts (e.g., gears, shafts), with hands-on knowledge of machining/turning processes and supplier qualification. ● Core Competencies ● Fluent English (written/verbal) for cross-cultural negotiations and global stakeholder management. ● Proactive mindset with proven ability to drive cost savings and strategic supplier partnerships. ● Strong analytical skills for market trend analysis and data-driven decision-making. ● Team player with exceptional communication and project management capabilities.
