Supplier Quality Engineer with subject-specific knowledge of technologies within the commodity
74 Assure logistical delivery performance by the supplier
74 Define, introduce and implement corrective actions for deviations from supplier agreements, from the prototype phase up to spare parts service
74 Manage and implement all supplier-related topics with regard to quality, part availability and equipment management
74 Further development of supplier base with regard to the Zero Defect Strategy, from the beginning of the project phase until the end of the project.

Principle activities

Comply with company EHS management rules, know the factory and work area environmental factors and hazards, perform
the post responsibility what described in the safe production responsibility system.

Support with knowledge of components and technologies:
o Active and Continuous development of experience and knowledge
o Support strategic supplier selection processes by initial supplier visits and supplier evaluations from a logistical and quality or equipment standpoint as a basis for sourcing processes and cooperate in the sourcing process
o Independently conduct design activities from the viewpoint of quality requirements and advance quality planning
with the supplier, taking into account special internal and external requirements.
o Conduct PPAP and process approval in comparison with internal and external customer requirements and documentation in the relevant DRX systems (such as QSYS, HOST, Scan View, PIP, PLM,..)
o Consistent ongoing development of product and process maturity
o Support the launch, conduct launch readiness reviews on-site including follow-up measures, up to transfer to series production

Supplier Development
o Support in analyzing and prioritizing the supplier base
o Set up supplier development programs, define target systems and multi-step plans with the suppliers, and observe supplier development base on the agreed goals
oConduct supplier audits, process inspections, action definitions, action follow-ups
o Cooperate in quality initiatives (internal and external) and in drawing up and expanding supplier agreements and contracts with regard to quality and logistics agreements or equipment agreements
o Cooperate in making and expanding supplier agreements and contracts, especially quality or logistic agreements
o Provide support in creating and evaluating supplier services, take action for recognized deviations (ppm, costs)
o Expert support for complaint management in case of escalations
o Support effective problem-solving activities with the supplier.
o Cooperate in required containments, cause analyses, development and implementation of permanent corrective actions

o Cooperate in the analysis, creation and optimization of internal processes and methods
o As needed: perform ‘Key User’ function, special tasks and special projects

Specialized knowledge / education: 74 Professional/graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired through a
bachelor’s degree or professional certification with a few (two to three) years of
experience in the related field (proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field
requiring an understanding of a body of theoretical knowledge)
Work experience:
74 3-5 years of experience in quality management/automotive
Additional knowledge:
74 Broad technical understanding and knowledge of the components and
technologies
74 Market knowledge (industry expertise)
74 Detailed knowledge of methods and processes for the quality methods used
(SPC, FMEA, APQP, etc.)
74 Social and subject skills for communicating on subject and methods with the
supplier and with internal departments
74 Skilled in negotiation techniques
74 Active team player and moderator
74 Analytical skills
74 Fluent in written and spoken English
