Bose Operations Center in Shenzhen, China is seeking a passionate, experienced Electronics Engineer to take part in Continuous Improvement Engineering team for Consumer Electronics and Wellness products. You will be a key member of our cross functional global team, working closely with your Bose engineering colleagues and Contract Manufacture (CM) partners to successfully develop and deliver our products to the consumer marketplace. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include the development / continuous improvement of various type of headphones, speaker systems and amplifiers including Bluetooth, WiFi and Noise Reduction technologies. This will require a solid understanding of concepts, technologies and design methods used for analog and digital electronic devices. Working with the project team, support groups, and outside resources, you will analyze and recommend design options for manufacturability, reliability, durability, performance, and cost. This will require invention and design early in the process, but also strong test and debugging capabilities as the product goes through prototyping phases during development. You will be part of a global team responsible for designing and bringing into production a high-volume consumer electronics product. Support product variants, work with CM partners, primarily under the oversight model. Results measured by timely resolution of various issues, relative to complexity, and priority: ? Responsible for our product designs being in regulatory compliance (e.g. EMC) through the entire lifecycle of the products. Using engineering judgement, validate all changes that can affect compliance and make any circuit changes required for regulatory compliance. ? Actively participate in cost reduction ideas (brainstorming) as well as following through with implementing, testing and validating these changes. ? Actively involved with supply chain issues that affect our products. Includes finding and qualifying alternate source components for strategic reasons, as well as responding to part shortages. Drive any necessary PAE validation of these parts. ? Responsible for the product change management and the accuracy of our BOM’s in WinChill You may be required to travel overseas to accept training or work with team in our headquarters. During product prototype or production trials for the products, you will be required to travel to our supply base frequently (up to 30% of your working time). Requirements: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. in Engineering or technical discipline a plus) and 5 years of related work experience. Product design experience and familiarity with computer-based engineering analysis tools. Solid understanding of the Electronic product design process for high volume products. Good command of English, both written and spoken, English must be at an acceptable level to enable working directly with USA colleagues. Good communication skill., fast learner, Easy to adapt to new environment, has the experience of working with OEM/ODM suppliers. Preferences: ? Experience with electrical and acoustic engineering tradeoffs ? Experience designing Bluetooth RF products ? Experience designing products using feedback control circuits ? Experience designing power electronics for battery powered products ? Mixed analog and digital design capability ? Experience designing products for the consumer market preferred with emphasis on personal electronics and/or “wearable” products. ? Experience in an outsourcing environment ? The ability to set up electronic and acoustic testing system in lab and production environment is a plus. ? PCBA test and manufacturing experience.
