Quality Issues, Reporting & Continuous Improvement - 30% ● Investigate root causes of defects and drive corrective and preventive actions (SCAR) to resolution. ● Track and analyze defect trends, providing data-driven recommendations for process and product improvements. ● Report on quality performance to senior management, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement. ● Work closely with engineering, supply chain,and manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related challenges and improve product quality.
Production Process Monitoring & Improvement -20% ● Monitor production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. ● Implement and refine quality checkpoints throughout manufacturing to prevent defects. ● Utilize risk assessment tools, including PFMEA,to identify and mitigate potential process failures. ● Work closely with suppliers to optimize production workflows and reduce quality-related waste.
Quality Control & Assurance - 15% ● Monitor in-coming / out going Quality controls and checks at Contract manufacturer ● Ensure all quality documentation and reporting is available with product delivery from contract manufacture
Quality Systems & Processes - 15% ● Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems (QMS), policies, and procedures to support manufacturing operations. ● Ensure compliance with relevant international quality standards and company-specific requirements. ● Support communication between Basis NZ employees and local supplier contacts to drive quality initiatives.
NPI & Change Management Support - 10% ● Support new product builds and design changes, ensuring quality is integrated from prototyping through to mass production. ● Ensure effective change management processes and control points between Basis and suppliers ● Production capability analysis & Production part approval (PPAP)
Conducting Audits - 5% ● Conduct supplier quality evaluations and audits at both contract manufacturers and Tier 2 suppliers, including qualifying new suppliers. ● Ensure adequate closure of any audit findings ● Maintain Audit register and schedule

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS ● Electronics manufacturing, worked in international companies ● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field. ● Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO27001 , ISO 45001 ISO 17025, etc.), as well as industry-specific regulations. ● Proven experience with root cause analysis, process optimization, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to work across cultural and geographic boundaries. ● Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. ● Proficient in quality management software and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D, APQP). ● Certification in one or more quality frameworks, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing. ● Experience working in a cross-functional, multi-site organization.
