Basic Description: The Upholstery Product Engineer Manager is responsible to deploy & execute Category sourcing strategy, and setup & develop an evolutional supply chain to contribute to FLX business growth - focus on the continuous improvement on total cost, quality, delivery, and innovation from a reliable & sustainable supply base. Essential Job Functions Responsibilities: 61 Support innovation, trouble shooting for new product development and sourcing. 61 Deploy and execute the responsible category/Key components sourcing strategy from global perspective. 61 Research new technologies and lead innovation projects cross the global organization. Closely with PD/Quality to evaluate, apply the new technologies into new design. 61 Manage Cost (total cost) throughout product life (from sketch concept until EOL) by negotiation, bid, cost analysis, VAVE, market benchmarking etc., purchasing tactics. 61 Develop and maintain supplier relationship to secure FLX business suitability and growability. 61 Manage supplier performance and develop supplier to achieve continuous improvement and contribute to FLX business. 61 Negotiate purchase contracting Terms & Conditions inclusive but not limited to Price, payment term, Incoterm, warranty, liability etc. 61 Responsible to lead supplier qualification evaluation and regular assessment. 61 Market intelligence, and provide regular report refer to the relevant market intelligence refer to commodity or industrial, do best practice benchmark analysis. 61 Support Operation refer to supplier performance issue, obsolescence and excess, Leadtime etc. 61 Involve and strongly support new product development with global cross-functional team to achieve a best new product launch on target cost, quality, Leadtime, etc. 61 Willing to take other special project assignment. Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, e-mechanical, electronic preferable. MBA is a plus. 61 Preferable to have R&D working experience for motion upholstery sofa products. 61 Fluent English and Chinese in both oral and written is a must. 61 Proficient in Microsoft office. 61 10+ years in sourcing, purchasing, supply chain management in international manufacturing company. Experience of finish goods sourcing in home furnishing industrial - upholstery, wooden etc is a plus. 61 Team player. Good communication skill. 61 Result-orientated, work under pressure, problem solving skill under uncertainty environment. 61 Willing to travel up to 25%.
