Key Responsibilities: Product Development: Translate initial product designs from the German headquarters into detailed, producible products, aligning closely with engineering teams and OEM suppliers. NPI Process Management: Drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring seamless transition from concept to production, focusing on quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Maintenance of Existing Product: Ensure existing products are maintained at competitive price levels by reviewing the production Cycle Times and Yield at regular intervals. Supplier Collaboration: Work directly with OEM suppliers to set up manufacturing processes, ensuring scalability, product integrity (MSA), and on-time delivery. Food Safety Compliance: Ensure all products comply with international food safety standards, maintaining a strong focus on material safety and product hygiene. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements for the European, North American, and other target markets, ensuring products meet all relevant standards and certifications. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement robust quality control measures, ensuring products meet performance specifications and customer expectations. Electronic collection of measurement data for process optimization is a must. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, quality, and marketing) to ensure alignment on product goals and market requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design and process improvements with OEM, implementing changes that enhance product quality, reduce costs, reduce waste, and improve production efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience (5+ years) in R&D or product development, preferably in small home appliances or consumer electronics. Engineering level knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, Unigraphics NX, Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and experience working with OEM suppliers. Knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, LFGB, etc.) and compliance standards in different regions. Hands-on experience in managing the NPI process from concept to production. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin being a plus.
