The Mechanical Manager leads the Mechanical Engineering (ME) team in developing consumer audio products, monitoring project progress, and ensuring timely and quality project launches.
What You Will Do: * Oversee all ME team deliverables, including concept development, BOM and cost estimation, functionality, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability of mechanical aspects. * Hire, supervise, coordinate, and arrange training for the mechanical function team. * Plan the function team budget and allocate resources to support project development. * Establish and implement design guidelines and best practices within the team. * Monitor project progress and escalate mechanical technical issues as needed. * Support RFQ quotations and Statements of Work (SOW). * Serve as the contact point for other function teams (e.g., PM, GPLM, ID, Quality). * Support the ME director in planning, developing procedures, and implementing administrative activities. * Stay updated on the latest technology to provide competitive and cost-effective solutions. * Adhere to all safety and health regulations related to job responsibilities. * Comply with the companys security policy. * Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
What You Need: * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering. * At least 4 years of experience in 3D CAD design. * Direct experience in consumer audio product design is preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of functional management experience. * Familiarity with consumer electrical product development processes. * Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding, stamping, die-casting, decoration, and assembly. * In-depth understanding of mechanical material and process costs. * Project management experience of 2 or more years is a plus. * Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel for work purposes. * Extensive experience in managing ODM. * Ability to comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Proficiency in writing technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Effective interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and suppliers. * Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. * Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Ability to interpret technical instructions and draw conclusions effectively.
