Day to Day Responsibilities: 1. Deliver products from EM to Corning’s customers on time. . Understand and maintain the end-to-end flow between Corning and EMs, including demand and supply plan, provide operations support. . Develop and implement KPI metrics and objectives to measure EM performance, including Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Safety. . Coordinate between Corning internal functions and EMs. 2. Create and execute the manufacturing operational strategy and objectives. . Participate in business strategy build up and ensure our strategy and objectives aligned with overall business plan. . Ensure our strategy implemented at our EMs without any deviation, understand our EMs’ needs and support our EMs to execute our strategy and objectives. . Collaborate and prioritize our resource on new business and product opportunities drive by market requirements. 3. Collaborate with Supply Chain and sourcing to ensure accurate delivery performance at lowest cost. . Develop the best order flow to be sure that we are meeting customer request at lowest cost. . Develop and manage the data share between Corning and EMs, including but not limited to forecast, capacity, delivery schedule are updated. . Partner with Global Supply Management to ensure rigorous procurement processes for ongoing outsourced manufacturing processes. 4. Implement manufacturing control processes to ensure ongoing product integrity. . Drive continuous improvement on Quality Metrics. Establish and drive quality improvement programs with External Manufacturing Partners and Corning functional departments. . Ensure strong utilization of engineering change controls and effectively manage and minimize end of life (EOL) issues. . Coordinate and manage production and post-production activities on an ongoing basis. . Clarify and secure the right drawings, spec, RM used for Corning products. 5. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of manufacturing and supply chain . Active management and execution of Cost reduction projects. . Provide regular updates on cost reduction initiatives, product performance, process improvement opportunities and pushing EMs to implement. 6. Reporting and Score cards . Daily production and shipment reports . Monthly reports from each EM . Monthly Spend Reports from each EM . Weekly NPI status updates Education & Experience . bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain or relevant field of study. MBA is preferred. . At least 5 years’ experience working with a US based MNC in different functions in Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management positions. . At least 3 years’ experience in External Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, managing supplier and vendors, OEM, ODM or related supplier management experience. . Project management experience with hands on experience on how to use project management methodologies to manage multifunctional, multilocation projects. . Experience in managing manufacturing/supply chain in high-mix low volume manufacturing. Required Skills . Fluent English speaking/writing is a must. . Working experience in ERP system (SAP or other systems). . Experience in MS office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) etc. . Flexibility to work across multiply time-zone in multiple languages, flexibility to balance the working time between US calendar and Chinese calendar. . Ability to travel (up to 40%) to EM sites in East and Central Asia to coordinate manufacturing activities.
