This role will contribute to the Access Network Solutions (ANS) business segment, supporting the evolution of broadband systems in ways that meet the demands of tomorrow and the future. How You'll Help Us Connect the World: 1. Strategic Sourcing o Develop and execute a comprehensive Outsourcing strategy that aligns with the company's business goals, product roadmaps, and cost objectives. o Contract manufacturer supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting and continuous supply base optimization for the manufacturing sites globally. o Work collaboratively with the stakeholders (BU teams) to identify and align on strategic initiatives that drive productivity, cost saving, innovation, and revenue generation. o Monitor market trends, technological advancements, competitor strategies, and industry developments. Conduct regular benchmarking exercises to compare EMS costs, service levels, and quality against industry peers. Use the insights gained to drive continuous improvement in the Outsourcing strategy.
2. Supplier Management o Lead EMS supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing management, Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with EMS partners. Act as the primary point of contact for escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution of any concerns related to quality, delivery, or cost. o Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and business terms with suppliers, including pricing terms, payment terms, incoterms to ensure favorable outcomes for the company. o Monitor supplier performance against predefined KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews of EMS suppliers and implement corrective actions as needed. o Quick resolution on the claims with suppliers. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the EMS procurement, operation process or with suppliers. o Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all EMS procurement activities. o Supply risk management in the new product development process.
3. Cost Management o Lead pricing negotiation with EMS suppliers in regular basis and realization of cost savings and favorable business terms and meet company cost reduction target o Work in partnership with New Product Development group and engineering team throughout product development process to negotiate, optimize and reduce the total cost to ensure best competitiveness from day one till end-of-life. o Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with EMS suppliers to secure the best possible deals. o Analyze cost structures of EMS services, build cost models to assess commodity strategies and to understand cost drivers. o Analyze procurement data and reports to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implement cost reduction initiatives.
4. SAP System Utilization o Utilize SAP system for all procurement-related activities, including pricing and sourcing rule setup. o Enter and maintain accurate data in SAP to ensure seamless integration with other departments such as purchasing and finance management. o Generate reports from SAP to support decision - making regarding procurement strategies, spend analysis, and supplier evaluation. Required Qualifications for Consideration: 1. Education o A bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus.
2. Experience o Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply chain management, or a related role, with specific experience in the EMS category management. o Proven track record of successful EMS supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives. o In-depth knowledge on Contract Manufacturer management, production process, cost model, component sourcing, quality control, and business term and conditions (Contract) related to the Outsourcing business.
3. Skills o Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to work under pressure. o Data sensitive, advanced analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets, cost models, and market trends. o Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiation skills, ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and drive win-win outcomes in complex business deals. o Skilled in Procurement, negotiation, supply analysis, financial analysis and project management o Candidates must be highly proficient in both Mandarin and English for effective verbal and written communication. o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must possess advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis purposes.
