The purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of the business by effectively initiating and driving incremental sales in a professional, value adding and customer focused manner:
- Proactively interact and acquire new customers for ocean, air, cross-border trucking, sea-air and value added service - Building strong and long-lasting relationships with new & existing customers in order to develop additional business opportunities. - Grow Revenue and Volume Footprint to achieve economies of scale and service reliability. - Partner with the Toll network to increase volumes in key trade lanes & verticals in accordance with our Sales Strategy. - Represent Toll in line with our values and ethics (e.g. Safety, Integrity and Trust, Continuous Improvement)
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation - Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to increase revenue and gross profit - Develop strategies to enter new markets or expand existing ones. - Meet or exceed sales targets on volume and profitability goals. 2. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management - Prospect, qualify, and convert leads into customers. - Pursuit and acquire new business or new customers. - Strengthen customer relationships to ensure retention and repeat business. 3. Market Research & Strategy Development - Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. - Develop tailored sales strategies for different market segments. - Recommend new products/services based on market demand. 4. Sales Pipeline & Deal Management - Maintain a structured sales pipeline to track progress. - Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively. - Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure smooth execution. 5. Networking & Partnerships - Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build connections. - Establish partnerships with key stakeholders (suppliers, distributors, etc.). - Represent the company professionally in client meetings and presentations. 6. Reporting & CRM Management - Use Salesforce to document sales activities and customer interactions. - Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
Technical - English, good writing and oral skill - Persuasive presentation skill - Good use of different artificial intelligence tools - Five years or above sales experience in logistics industry - Fully logistics knowledge covering different logistics products and industry verticals.
Human Relations - Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills - Strategic thinking and analytical abilities - Customer-focused mindset with relationship-building expertise - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
