Key Accountabilities : 61 Report status of current production leverage opportunities, sourcing plans, carryover parts/ capacity, and raw material economic exposure. 61 Work to identify and execute improvement opportunities when budget overages exist in the bill off materials. 61 Manage launch reports, cost walks, and one paper summaries. 61 Participate in cross functional teams, including Program management, Supplier Development, and Engineering teams. 61 Responsible for the sourcing new components that are not included in existing commodity strategy. 61 Responsible for holding launch readiness reviews with the entire cross functional team, which would include identifying issues, assigning tasks and drive accountability. 61 Responsible for managing supplier tooling cost. 61 Manage a smooth transition from Advanced launch phase to production phase by ensuring buyer team is full supported. 61 Responsible for supporting BorgWarner’s new technology products by identifying and driving new supplier technology. 61 Responsible for driving early supplier onboarding for new programs. 61 Exhibit overall discipline within GSM function.
Key Competencies: 61 8-10 years of purchasing or program management experience working in an automotive production. 61 CPM /CPSM certification preferred. 61 Purchasing/GSM environment. 61 Technical Skills – Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MRP systems knowledge as a plus. 61 Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work. 61 Ability to communicate at all levels – position interacts with all levels of BorgWarner/Supply management. 61 Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required. 61 Independent - The ability to prioritize and organize own workload. 61 Treat colleagues with respect (Equality and Diversity).
