The Incoming Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and components received from suppliers meets company standards and specifications. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, procurement teams, and manufacturing departments to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement in the supply chain.
Main Task: 1.Material Inspection & Testing: -Perform inspections and testing of incoming materials and components to ensure they meet specified quality standards. -Review supplier documentation, including certificates of analysis and conformance, to verify compliance with company requirements. 2.Supplier Quality Management: -Work closely with suppliers to address any quality issues, including conducting supplier audits, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. -Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster continuous improvement in material quality. -Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality criteria. 3.Non-Conformance Management: -Manage non-conforming materials by initiating and tracking supplier corrective action requests (SCARs). -Analyze trends in non-conformances and work with suppliers to implement preventive measures. 4.Documentation & Reporting: -Maintain accurate records of inspection results, supplier performance, and corrective actions. -Generate quality reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. 5.Process Improvement: -Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in incoming quality processes. -Suggest and implement improvements to inspection methods and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 6.Compliance & Standards: -Ensure all incoming materials comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. -Stay updated on relevant quality standards and best practices, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and others as applicable. 7.Complete other tasks assigned from the direct supervisor per business requirement.
1.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. 2.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment. 3.Experience with supplier quality management, including conducting audits and working with SCARs. 4.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions. 5.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as SPC, FMEA, and 8D. 6.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 7.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. 8.Be adapted to frequent business travel with irregular base is a must 9.Strong anti-pressure ability and strong sense of self-motivation and goal-driven 10.Observe the regulations of TCN including but not limited on the Employee’s Handbook and Code of Conduct of TRUMPF China.
