The Job :
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality & Product Development manager to join our growing China organization. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards by professionalizing the Platinum Shanghai Quality department. Furthermore, be the lead of Platinum Shanghai in new product development together with Platinum the Netherlands and support in sourcing new suppliers. Finally assure an effective and transparent day-to-day communication between Suppliers, Platinum Shanghai and Platinum the Netherlands.

- 负责处理荷兰总部及其客户提出的质量投诉，并建立改善提升系统。
- 完善不良品处理流程，确保质检发现的不良品遵循流程处理并推动相应的质量改善计划。
- 定期负责原材料的第三方质量检测。
- 负责维护和更新所有产品数据资料表及技术参数表，确保资料文档妥善保管。
- 作为新产品开发的国内主要负责人，协助国外技术部门进行新产品开发。
- 熟悉并掌握产品生产过程及主要生产，采购成本。设法优化制造成本。
- 协助寻找并开发新供应商。

Your main tasks will be :
- Assure a transparent and efficient communication concerning quality matters between suppliers, QC workers and Platinum the Netherlands
- Make visible and manage the quality department’s capacity ensuring goods are inspected without shipment delays and the department is future-proof
- Further professionalize the quality department’s processes, also arrange the QC worker schedules.
- Control and update inspection reports
- Follow-up quality complaints stated by Platinum the Netherlands
- Assure correct process is followed if structural defects are detected
- Responsible for external quality test for raw materials on a regular basis
- Responsible that all (product) datasheets (Techsheets) are up to date and properly administered
- Be the lead and main contact of Platinum Shanghai in new product development
- Obtain insights into production processes, production costs and other variables which determine the product price
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers

To be able to be successful in the position, the following skills are required :
- Bachelor degree or above, major in machinery or related.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality management and product development. A
- Experience in managing and professionalizing a team
- Experience in a comparable seasonal business would be preferable (e.g., outdoor furniture)
- Familiar with the drawings, factory process and control methods.
- Familiar with various quality tools and techniques and quality management system.
- Good problem solving, project management and organization skills.
- Honest and transparent, with team spirit.
- Able to travel and sometimes perform all tasks of quality checker if needed
- Excellent knowledge of the Chines and English
- Good knowledge of Office 365

This position allows you to work from home so you must have a responsible attitude, be self-motivated and pro-active. You will be the main communication window between our Dutch office and Chinese supplier, so fluent communication skills in both English and Chinese are required. As the current team is small, we expect a flexible attitude.
